About Me

I am originally from Atlanta, GA. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences from the University of Wisconsin in 2017. I then began working as a database manager for the Lake multi-scaled geospatial and temporal (LAGOS) database project. More information on this project can be found here. I enjoyed learning about water quality and complex ecosystem dynamics, and decided to pursue a Master's degree in Freshwater and Marine Science. My Master's research specifically focused on using process-based modeling to understand the role of carbon sources in lake ecosystems, and how they impact anoxia conditions in Wisconsin lakes.

I originally pursued Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences because of my passion for weather and climate science. Since working at the Center for Limnology, I've gained significant interest in the relationships between the climate and environmental systems and how modeling can help to understand and predict these relationships.

Although my passion for environmental science was initially found by looking at the atmosphere, I'm incredibly excited to continue my journey in the freshwater sciences.
